Hello! I hope everyone is doing great today! We’re getting closer to the weekend, yay!
Last weekend I shot my first wedding! With the help of my awesome husband, of course. He was suuuuch a huge help! Encouraging me throughout the day, telling me that I’m doing great… And helping take pictures, too. Weddings are long, hard days but there is just something so rewarding about them! Especially when God is in the center of the wedding, it makes you feel like you’re a part of something bigger. It’s not just a wedding, it’s the beginning of a lifelong journey with the person that God sent into your life, to help you grow, to teach you different things, to be there for you during tough times. When I think about the fact that the pictures that we took are going to be looked back on in the years to come, and they will help the couple “re-live” one of the most important days of their life, it puts more meaning into it for me. I want my pictures to instantly bring them back to a special moment and bring a smile to their face, or a tear of joy. I want my pictures to glorify God, I want them to remind couples of the day that they promised to love “for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, until death do us part”, when the tough times come. Or during the joyous times, I want them to look back and be reminded of how blessed they are and how awesome their wedding day was!
Ok, that got deep real quick. ;) All in all, I LOVED shooting that wedding and hope to do many more!
So speaking of weddings and marriages… My sister and her husband just celebrated their 15th wedding anniversary. And guess what? 15 years and 3 kids later, SHE STILL FITS INTO HER WEDDING DRESS! I’m pretty sure that I already can’t fit into my wedding dress, and it’s only been a year and two months! Anyway, they wanted to do an anniversary shoot in her wedding dress so that they could have some “new wedding pictures” and also some fun ones with the kiddos. :) Hope ya’ll enjoy these!
