So, I’m finally getting around to posting our gender reveal. Only about 6 weeks later… no big deal, right? Ugh, I wish I was more on top of things but as we all know life gets busy, and it seems to never slow down.
This was SUCH an awesome day! Ever since we got pregnant, I told my husband that I really wanted to do a gender reveal party. I just thought it would be awesome to have a little “celebration” when we find out. :) My husband liked the idea, but didn’t love the fact that we wouldn’t find out before everyone else. So, after breaking my head, trying to figure out the perfect way to do it, it finally hit me! We will go to our ultrasound and bring 5 blank sheets of paper with us. We will ask the tech to not tell us the gender, but to write down the correct gender on three sheets of paper and the incorrect gender on the other two. She was super sweet and did everything that we asked her to. Then at home, I put one piece of paper in each balloon.
On the day of the party (which was four days later by the way!! It was sooooo hard to wait!), my husband and I took turns popping the five balloons and we saw what each paper said and then announced it to everyone. That way, we found out the gender before everyone! :) It worked out well ;)
It was so cool because we actually had to pop all five balloons to finally get the answer. And as most people know already, IT'S A GIRL!
Hubby and I were both very surprised because for some reason we both thought it would be a boy but obviously we are so excited and absolutely can not wait to meet our baby girl! It's so nice to finally know and be able to actually call her by her name and correct gender! And of course, looking at all the cute girl clothes and planning her nursery is tons of fun!
Thank you to everyone who joined us! It was so fun to hear all the "arguments" about who thought which gender it would be, etc. We had an amazing time and can’t wait to introduce our sweet Aria Joy to everyone!
